- ➤ Minot Area Chamber EDC announced that $110,197 was raised at the Prairie Warrior Auction on April 24 to support Minot Air Force Base personnel through live and silent auction items, table sales, event games and cash donations—proceeds will fund morale-boosting activities and the Home for the Holidays program. - ➤ Minot military families will face a split approach for moving costs as Minot AFB is kept out of the new Global Household Goods Contract during peak PCS season from May 15 until August 31—this means families planning self-directed moves will have costs calculated differently while those using the legacy system may see more traditional reimbursement estimates. Service members are advised to contact their local Traffic Management Office as soon as they receive orders to ensure proper planning. Northern Sentry

Shane Knowles at Minot Air Force Base was named USSTRATCOM Company Grade Officer of the Year on April 23rd for supervising weapon system instruction and operations training for 240 officers — his leadership improved tactics and readiness in missile operations during a time of increased global competition. - ➤ Minot High softball is tied for first in the WDA after completing 10 conference games — the team plans to build on this performance in future matchups. KFYR-TV
- ➤ Last week, Minot North High School sports teams had mixed results in softball, golf, soccer and baseball events. The softball team won 12-4 against Mandan and scored big wins at a Dickinson tournament before dropping close games, the boys' golf team finished first against Watford City with Kasen Rostad scoring 132, the girls' soccer team won 3-2 against Bismarck then registered a loss and tie, and the baseball team lost several games including a 0-16 loss to Williston.
