- ➤ The Ward County Extension office will host a series of free gardening workshops on Monday nights from March 24 to April 14 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at its building at 900 13th St. SE, Minot; the first event will feature presentations on saving money at garden centers, growing daylilies and designing flower gardens to attract pollinators—participants will receive a seed starting kit with high-quality tomato and pepper seeds—registration is requested to secure enough kits. - ➤ Tax Commissioner Brian Kroshus reminds eligible homeowners that they must apply for the Primary Residence Credit—a property tax credit of up to $500—for the 2025 tax year before the March 31 deadline, and he noted that more than 129,000 applications have already been received. Minot Daily News
- ➤ The 91st Missile Wing at Minot Air Force Base won the Omaha Trophy in the intercontinental ballistic missile category, one of three winners honored by U.S. Strategic Command and the Strategic Command Consultation Committee — a high honor for the team — as leaders praised their readiness and hard work. - ➤ On Monday, the city council approved an $11.2 million low bid for the first phase of 16th Street Southwest reconstruction & said no to funding costly infrastructure for a housing project near Erik Ramstad Middle School.
