- ➤ Officers arrested Christopher Dion Davis, 33, on Monday at 5:30 a.m. after he was seen fleeing a downtown business where he allegedly forced entry—he is charged with Class C felony burglary and misdemeanor refusal to halt amid three outstanding warrants. Minot Daily News
- ➤ The jury selection for Nichole Rice's trial began on March 15th—starting the legal process in her case. KFYR-TV
- ➤ Police arrested a 33-year-old man early Monday morning after he broke into a downtown business; he had three outstanding warrants + is charged with burglary and refusal to halt + and was seen fleeing on foot around 5:30 a.m. KFYR-TV

- ➤ The Ward County Extension office will host a series of free gardening workshops on Monday nights from March 24 to April 14 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at its building at 900 13th St. SE, Minot; the first event will feature presentations on saving money at garden centers, growing daylilies and designing flower gardens to attract pollinators—participants will receive a seed starting kit with high-quality tomato and pepper seeds—registration is requested to secure enough kits. - ➤ Tax Commissioner Brian Kroshus reminds eligible homeowners that they must apply for the Primary Residence Credit—a property tax credit of up to $500—for the 2025 tax year before the March 31 deadline, and he noted that more than 129,000 applications have already been received. Minot Daily News
- ➤ The 91st Missile Wing at Minot Air Force Base won the Omaha Trophy in the intercontinental ballistic missile category, one of three winners honored by U.S. Strategic Command and the Strategic Command Consultation Committee — a high honor for the team — as leaders praised their readiness and hard work. - ➤ On Monday, the city council approved an $11.2 million low bid for the first phase of 16th Street Southwest reconstruction & said no to funding costly infrastructure for a housing project near Erik Ramstad Middle School. The mayor is under investigation following a complaint received Jan. 28, and officials expect the inquiry to finish in a couple weeks. Minot Daily News
- ➤ City employees responded to a water main break in northwest Minot on Saturday that affected about 20 homes, with a local resident reporting the incident just before 7 a.m. Repairs were completed and water was restored by 2:30 p.m. using One Call utility tracing—officials noted the cast iron pipe is over 70 years old.
