- ➤ The Road Home pet crematorium has opened at 908 42nd Street SE in Minot to offer pet owners a personal option for returning ashes within three hours. Founders Trisha and Jory Fecho started the business after personal loss + now accept referrals from veterinarians. KFYR-TV
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ George Masters, a local car club president and VP in the Air and Space Forces Association chapter, has his restored Woodie wagon back in town after winning it at Barrett-Jackson. The car—custom built with modern upgrades—is set for local shows this winter. Northern Sentry
- ➤ The Taube Museum of Art's new Christmas-themed Mini House of Horrors opens today through Saturday, Dec. 13 in its basement from 8 p.m.-midnight with a family-friendly no-scare version Saturday from 1-3 p.m. Visitors may bring a nonperishable food item (or toy) to donate for the fundraiser. ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ Mark Lyman, the Economic Development Specialist for the Minot Area Chamber EDC, was nationally recognized as a Certified Economic Developer after completing a three-part test and four years of coursework + he plans to use his certification to better support local businesses in the Magic City. EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ The Ward County Ag Improvement Association has announced two $500 scholarships for local full-time students pursuing agricultural studies and a grant to support youth in agricultural projects — applications are available at the Ward County Extension office in Minot and must be submitted by Feb. 15. - ➤ Ramstad Middle School students in Minot had a busy November with a Neon Night party on Nov. 14 featuring volleyball, a dirty soda stand and glow in the dark gear, and they raised $326 for the food pantry by taping a principal to the wall. Northern Sentry
