- ➤ Minot Salvation Army's Angel Tree project (over 300 children will receive gifts this season) is launching a Toy Shop next week for parents as donations rise to meet growing needs, with gift drop-offs accepted until Monday, Dec. 15. KFYR-TV
- ➤ Thrill and Chill Family Entertainment Center opened in New Town on Wednesday, Dec. 10, offering mini golf, laser tag, a ropes course, arcade, movie theater, restaurant and party rooms. Chairman Mark Fox said the venue is expected to bring fun and jobs to locals — welcoming all visitors. Minot Daily News

- ➤ Uglee Box in Minot will close at the end of December + its owners are selling the business to focus on RedTag Warehouse. The store will hold weekend liquidation sales through Dec. 23. KFYR-TV

- ➤ Former Minot AFB leaders now serve in high roles as Lt. Gen. Jason Armagost assumed deputy command at Barksdale AFB on Nov. 17, replacing Lt. Gen. Michael Lutton who now serves as deputy commander at Offutt, while Gen. S.L. Davis leads at Strategic-Air. Minot Daily News
- ➤ According to the DOT, extra patrols will begin on Friday as part of the Drive Sober campaign running Dec. 12-Jan. 31 to reduce impaired driving after data showed one alcohol-related crash every 14 hours in 2024. Minot Daily News
