- ➤ Minot police and community volunteers hosted a sensory-sensitive Christmas shopping event at Walmart on Saturday, Dec. 6 that supported 49 children on the autism spectrum and 27 families — each child received a $140 gift card to help their family. Minot Daily News
- ➤ Rosehill Memorial Park Cemetery will host the Wreaths Across America ceremony on Saturday, Dec. 13 where over 1,000 wreaths honor fallen heroes. Starting at noon, a formal ceremony with a gun volley and TAPS precedes community volunteers laying wreaths (backed by veteran groups). Minot Daily News
- ➤ The annual Team Minot Cookie Drive will collect cookies for first-term airmen at Minot Air Force Base next week, with donations accepted Monday, Dec. 15 and Tuesday, Dec. 16 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Chamber office (1020 20th Ave. SW). Minot Daily News

- ➤ Minot Public Library will drop Hoopla on Jan. 1 — due to rising costs — and continue offering Libby for eBook and eAudio access; Interim Director Josh Pikka said the change will help manage the library’s budget and enhance digital service. KFYR-TV
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ U.S. Sen. John Hoeven and Congresswoman Julie Fedorchak announced a $12 billion aid package for local farmers at the White House Monday, Dec. 8, to help with high input costs and trade challenges. Payments for the FBA Program will begin releasing by Feb. 28. Minot Daily News
