Good morning, Minot. Here's your local news at a glance for Wednesday, the 5th of November.

BUSINESS NEWS

  • Main Street Books changed ownership on Nov.1 when Lindsey Bertsch, the long-time manager, took over the downtown store. She said hours and inventory will remain the same and she plans to add a spring cafe while the store supports a community fridge — with donations for butter, milk and eggs needed — due to the government shutdown.  KFYR-TV

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Roosevelt Park will reopen next spring as work on the Mouse River Enhanced Flood Protection Project winds down after the park closed early September for construction. The park board said the MI-7 flood wall will finish by yearend, the pool will open on June 5, pickleball courts will resume next May, and the mini-train will run next summer — though some areas will remain restricted due to ongoing work — as the MI-6 pump station completes next year.  Minot Daily News
