- ➤ The Flower Box will host the 27th Annual Caring Rose Week food drive from November 10th to 15th to help local food banks near Broadway and Burdick—residents who donate two cans can buy a dozen roses for $10. - ➤ Minot Police and Minot Public Schools are addressing threat reports at Minot North High School and increased police presence today after finding no active threat—counselors are on hand and disciplinary actions are in effect while classes continue as scheduled. KFYR-TV

- ➤ The Minot State University Department of Nursing was reaccredited for 10 years by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education after a successful self-study and on-site evaluation—confirming strong curriculum, faculty qualifications, and student outcomes. - ➤ ND Sober Ride announced it will offer discounted Lyft rides this Halloween — riders can use code VZHALLOWEEN25 for a $10 discount from Oct 31 through Nov 1, with the offer sponsored by AAA-The Auto Club Group. Minot Daily News
- ➤ U.S. Sen. John Hoeven commended the North Dakota Industrial Commission for approving $45.1 million to support enhanced oil recovery in the Bakken as part of his Crack the Code 2.0 initiative aimed at partnering the oil and coal industries. The state funding, together with a planned federal contribution of up to $50 million and $76 million in private investment, brings total project financing to about $171 million — building on 18 months of research by the Energy and Environmental Research Center.
