- ➤ Minot Golden Kiwanis has opened a grant program for youth programs in the Minot area—applications for any program serving children are accepted until Friday, Nov. 14. Minot Daily News
- ➤ The Great Plains Food Bank launched an emergency fundraising campaign today—if the government shutdown extends past Friday, Oct. 31, SNAP benefits will pause on Nov. 1, affecting over 48,000 individuals, and local food pantries in Minot have already seen rising client demand. The initiative will raise funds to secure an extra one million pounds of food to support families in need. Minot Daily News

- ➤ Rail Modal Group and BNSF Railway celebrated loading the 1,000th train from the Minot Intermodal Facility on Oct. 23— a milestone that shows strong demand in regional shipping and the growing role of the LPND in supporting local industry.
