Free Halloween events will take place in Minot from Oct.
29 to Oct. 31 at churches, libraries, hospitals, and other venues. The events—ranging from trunk or treats and indoor gatherings to trick or treat sessions and themed parties—are free and require adult permission for participants under 18.
🏛️ Government
The city said work on an underground water line at Dakota College at Bottineau campus will narrow traffic on 120 East Burdick Expressway starting today for most of the week—this work is being done by a private contractor hired by the college.

Marketplace Foods in Minot recalled its taco dip due to a foreign object—customers should return the product to any store for a full refund.
🏈 Sports
On Sept. 20 at Lake Audubon, Minot angler Kim Fundingsland and his daughter Kelli set personal bests when Kim caught a muskie measuring 45 1/4 inches and Kelli caught one measuring 43 1/4 inches during a challenging summer for muskie fishing.
The record may be confirmed if Game and Fish verifies the catch.
