- ➤ The Roosevelt Park Zoo now has Kelly Mahoney as its full-time veterinarian—she replaces Logan Wood so he can focus on directing the zoo. Originally from Pennsylvania, Mahoney said she is eager to care for the animals with Wood's guidance. KFYR-TV
- ➤ Minot volunteer and retired fundraiser Richard Reuer supports veterans’ remembrance by coordinating wreath sponsorships for Wreaths Across America at Pizza Ranch and Rosehill Cemetery—he will join volunteers on Oct. 25 at 10 a.m. to plant crosses at veterans’ graves and his campaign is 85% to its 200 wreath goal. - ➤ The ND Department of Commerce updated tourism grant details after correcting earlier misprints as the Scandinavian Heritage Association received a $110,943 Destination Development Grant — and the Boathouse Bunkhouse project in Devils Lake was awarded $235,900.
