EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Minot Public Schools enrollment dropped by 225 students as of Sept. 3 with kindergarten numbers suspected to be the cause. The school board will review the figures tomorrow—aiming to guide future enrollment actions. KFYR-TV
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The Minot City Council tabled a proposal on Sept. 9 to allow sanitation customers to opt out of curbside recycling, and the idea will be reviewed at a public budget hearing on Sept. 15—council members also requested that city staff examine potential fee adjustments for continued program participation. The council further cut the road repair allocation in the 2026 preliminary budget from $12 million to $10 million to help balance fiscal needs. Minot Daily News
