- ➤ The Civil Air Patrol Magic City Composite Squadron in Minot invites the community to a free Open House and fly in event on Tuesday, September 9 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Minot Avflight (2400 N. Broadway). Guests will see STEM activities, aircraft displays, cadet drills, flight simulators and information on joining CAP. Northern Sentry

- ➤ Mouse River Players Community Theater kicks off its season with a stage adaptation of The Haunting of Hill House, with shows scheduled for September 19—21 and 26—28; Friday and Saturday performances start at 7:30 p.m. while Sunday shows begin at 2:00 p.m., and tickets cost $15 for general admission available online or at the box office. - ➤ Brian Michalenko of Minot will be inducted into the Dakota Musician Association Hall of Fame—Minot’s 13th honoree—at a ceremony in Aberdeen on Sept. 12. He began playing violin at age 9 with Minot Public Schools and has built a long career in bluegrass and country music. Minot Daily News

- ➤ Senior Airman Katherin Varela-Loaiza has devoted over 270 hours to the Safe Rides volunteer program—helping Airmen get safe rides during emergencies and late-night hours—and she plans to keep supporting service members in need. Northern Sentry
- ➤ The 91st Missile Wing Command Team congratulated the 91st Operations Support Squadron on being named Squadron of the Month for September, recognizing its back-to-back McAdoo Trophy wins and steady support for the nuclear deterrence mission—ensuring 24/7/365 operations with elite training, tactics, and intelligence efforts. - ➤ The NTSB preliminary report confirmed that the Minot AFB B-52 maintained its authorized flight path during a loss-of-separation incident on July 18 at the state fairgrounds, when air traffic control coordinated the flyover with Minot Tower and Dakota Radar. Air traffic control instructed a commercial airliner to turn away while the B-52 safely kept visual separation from a civilian Piper aircraft. Northern Sentry
