  • A local bridge was dedicated today to honor a fallen soldier—officials, family members, and community supporters attended the ceremony to remember his service.  KFYR-TV
  • Minot residents will experience the 2026 State Fair from July 17-25—featuring special exhibits, performances and America 250-themed events that honor the past and inspire the next generation. EDUCATION NEWS

  • A new dental hygiene program will start classes on Aug. 26 at Dakota College’s downtown center for its first 10 students while a second-year dental assisting class almost fills its 12 spots at the Bottineau facility. Students will begin rotations at Northland Community Health Center next spring — a plan that meets rising local demand.  Minot Daily News

  • Dr. Mark Rostad joined HIA Hospice as its new medical director—bringing deep local ties and years of palliative care experience. He will lead the hospice team in providing end-of-life care across North Dakota and Minnesota—ensuring patients receive compassionate services.  Minot Daily News
  • Minot’s biggest breast cancer fundraiser, Double-D Haw, will take place on Sept. 6 from 5:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. at The Blue Rider+ the event will include a seafood boil, live music and auctions+ with proceeds supporting new breast cancer detection and treatment technology at Trinity Health.  Minot Daily News

  • Flaten and Plouffe claimed victory today at the 15th Annual Catfish Clash in Minot — the event saw local anglers compete for top honors.  KFYR-TV
