- ➤ The iconic Budweiser Clydesdales are at the state fair in Magic City this week to support veterans by promoting Folds of Honor scholarships. They travel with 10 horses+2 dalmatian dogs, are set up at Machinery Row near the state fair center, and will appear in the State Parade today. KFYR-TV
- ➤ 4-H youth are displaying over 8,000 projects at the State Fair Center with the exhibits now arranged by category to help judges and fairgoers see animal science and sewing projects clearly. Superintendent June Woodall said the layout change supports youth development by letting them build skills through hands-on work—an update aimed at improving how visitors experience the projects. - ➤ A Minot woman named Daniela Abigail Perez Cordero, 21, pleaded guilty in North Central District Court to distributing narcotics causing injury or death and endangering a vulnerable person and was sentenced to three years with the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation with credit for 205 days served—she must also complete supervised probation, a chemical dependency evaluation and follow a 150-foot no-contact order with the victim. - ➤ The North Dakota State Fair is celebrating its 60th year with performances by Jelly Roll, Sara Twister and Limp Bizkit—marking a milestone that brings together many local fans. KFYR-TV
- ➤ On Friday, the American Quarter Horse Show was held at the All Seasons Arena at the state fair, marking competitor Jennifer Jensen’s return to AQHA shows after more than ten years away—she and her husband breed quarter horses and more horse events are scheduled during the fair. KFYR-TV
- ➤ Contortionist Sara Twister has brought her debut solo show Ready. Aim. Fire. to the North Dakota State Fair where she performs contortion, foot archery & comedy on free stage 1 through Tuesday. The performer appears daily at 12:30, 3:00 and 6:00 p.m. KFYR-TV
- ➤ The ND State Fair now features a new butterfly exhibit with about 100 Painted Ladies Butterflies brought from Orlando—these butterflies can fly up to 100 miles a day and live only 10 to 30 days. The exhibit on the west side of the fairgrounds offers interactive shows at 1 p.m., 4 p.m., and 7 p.m. for visitors to feed the butterflies. KFYR-TV
