- ➤ Fort Mandan State Historic Site near Washburn will host the free Watercolor En Plein Air event on Saturday, July 26 from 1-2 p.m. at the Seaman Shelter, where artists of all ages will receive supplies and help to paint outdoors—leashed dogs are also welcome at the visitor center. - ➤ Minot will test a new absentee ballot process in the mayoral race on Aug. 5, where voters must deliver ballots to the Ward County Auditor’s Office before polls close—ballots postmarked before election day but arriving later will not be counted.
