Ray Curtis, North Dakota’s longest living World War II veteran, died Sunday, June 21 in Minot at a local assisted living facility at age 109.

He was honored on Feb. 11 with Ray Curtis Appreciation Day by Gov. Kelly Armstrong and local officials (joined by his family).
