- ➤ A Minot woman, Felicia N. Ramos (26), was arrested Saturday at 11:19 a.m. when officers responded to a domestic disturbance in southeast Minot and found she attempted a stabbing that forced the victim to disarm her and suffer minor injuries, and she was charged with terrorizing (a Class C felony) and domestic violence-bodily injury (a Class A misdemeanor) after her initial court appearance Monday. - ➤ Minot author Barb Solberg will join the National Book Festival on Saturday, Sept. 6 in Washington and take part in readings at local libraries as part of the Great Reads program—featuring her historical fiction What We Leave Behind and RubyAnn Stiegelmeier’s children’s book Sir Rupert and the Battle of the Squirrels. - ➤ Minot’s 16th Street Southwest is closed for reconstruction that will improve the road surface, add left turn lanes and new traffic signals, as City Engineer Lance Meyer announced at a meeting held at Minot High School (next to the work area). The section at Burdick Expressway will reopen in early to mid-July, and work on 16th Street will continue until Oct. 4 with more improvements planned for 2028. Minot Daily News
