The Minot Area Chamber EDC Military Affairs Committee and the Minot Park District will host Military Appreciation in the Parks on Friday, June 12.

The free event offers food + family activities at Oak Park, Roosevelt Park Zoo, Maysa Arena, and Roosevelt Park Pool to honor military members and their families.

Minot State University Communications and Western Plains Opera partnered to present 'Newsies, Jr.,' a musical where local youth perform a turn-of-the-century New York story at Ann Nicole Nelson Hall.

Four shows run Thursday, June 11 to Saturday, June 13.

Isabella Roll, a student at North Dakota State College of Science, earned a silver medal in Automotive Refinishing Technology at the SkillsUSA Championships in Atlanta, an event that brought together over 6,500 state champions + industry experts to showcase real-world technical skills.

North Dakota HHS will host SNAP webinars for retailers starting tomorrow, June 11, to explain the Healthy Choice Waiver for nutrition that goes into effect in September.

The sessions (held monthly at 2 p.m. on the second Thursday and 10 a.m. on the fourth Tuesday) will run through Oct. 27.
