- ➤ Minot Public School Board approved a one-year contract with the Minot Education Association during a special virtual meeting on Monday after weeks of negotiations — the deal keeps a base salary at $44,550 and provides staff raises ranging from 1.2% to 4.02%. The contract package totals $49.2 million in wages and nearly $2.57 million in benefits and includes retention pay of $750 for those with bachelor’s degrees and $1,200 for those with master’s degrees, with bonuses ending in the 2025-2026 school year — adjustments that also change sick leave deadlines and add an extra personal day.
