Twenty-seven MSU Concert Choir members and 16 Chamber Chorale members visited Norway last month to reaffirm Minot’s sister city agreement with Skien when acting mayor Mark Jantzer issued a proclamation and humanities professor Eric Furuseth’s poem was set to music by director Dr. Emerson Eads during a Syttende Mai concert on May 17. The visit marked the choir’s second trip to Norway — reinforcing the long-standing bond between the two cities.

Military working dogs and their handlers from Minot AFB competed in the inaugural Police Week Top Dog of the Tundra Competition at Grand Forks AFB on May 13—during a dog agility course, Senior Airman Ryan Faulk removed dog MP as it bit Staff Sgt. Stephen Zimmerman.
