- ➤ Minot Air Force Base’s Safe Rides program provides free rides for military members and their dependents who face unsafe driving situations, and it is run by volunteers. The service operates Thursday through Sunday from 9 p.m.—3 a.m., and it typically receives about three to five ride requests every weekend. Minot Daily News
