COMMUNITY NEWS

  • Military Day at the Park will be held at Oak Park on June 6th—military members and their families will be served food from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., and children will enjoy bounce houses and yard games. Military ID holders will also receive free admission to Roosevelt Park Zoo on that day and free skating at Maysa Arena from noon to 2 p.m.  Minot Daily News

CULTURE NEWS

  • The North Dakota State Fair in Minot will run from July 18 to 26 with new rides including one that reaches 140 feet tall and goes 80 mph—organizers are also installing Wi-Fi through 120 miles of fiber to help vendors. The fair is celebrating its 60th year and workers are starting the second phase of a $6 million roofing project at the State Fair Center.  KFYR-TV
