- ➤ During the trial Tuesday, Minot Police Sgt. Shane Johnson testified that investigators ruled out cartel involvement and instead focused on suspect Delon Davis as evidence from social media and a local business search linked him to Mark Ramon McMillan Jr.'s murder — with witness accounts indicating McMillan was shot on the basement stairs. - ➤ Shane Johnson, the state’s case agent, testified Tuesday morning in the trial of Delon Davis, who is accused of fatally shooting Mark McMillan, saying his crime scene investigation did not back Davis’ claim of self-defense during an exchange of fire downtown & video evidence showed Davis pleading innocence when arrested at his Minot apartment. - ➤ A Minot childcare center, Delight & Co, received a grant of 50,614 dollars from the Regional Workforce Impact Program, announced by the North Dakota Department of Commerce, to remodel its facility in Ward County. The expansion will upgrade its license from serving 30 children to about 300 children. Minot Daily News
- ➤ Minot Public Schools leadership and the teacher’s union will meet today at 6 p.m. in the Central Middle School auditorium—teacher pay and benefits are expected to be discussed. KFYR-TV

- ➤ Governor Kelly Armstrong vetoed an extra $350,000 in funding—meant for State Fair Association sanitation projects during the 2025-2027 biennium—in a move that redirected money from Senate Bill 2018, while officials noted the funds would have supported restrooms and new campground facilities. State Fair Manager Craig Rudland and Senate Majority Leader David Hogue said the veto pushes the association to seek alternative funding methods. Minot Daily News
- ➤ On Monday the City Council cut about $100 million from the 2026—2030 Capital Improvement Plan to reduce the total to $804.6 million, choosing to remodel the police station and drop expensive projects like a new wastewater treatment plant and a pedestrian bridge replacement.
