- ➤ The Minot Senior Coalition will hold its 27th annual Salute to Seniors event on Tuesday at the Municipal Auditorium. Doors open at 9 a.m.—admission costs $20 and includes a hot meal by Homesteaders, live music from Robby Vee, and additional activities until the event ends at 3 p.m. Minot Daily News

- ➤ White Shield hosted its annual Warbonnet Dance on Saturday that raised funds for the Arikara Celebration planned for the second weekend in July + the event announced its new powwow committee. The head woman dancer will perform at the celebration + the Sr. Princess is set to dance at other upcoming local events. Minot Daily News

- ➤ The Minot Area Community Foundation awarded scholarships in memory of Brooke Nicole Schroeder to Max High School seniors Delaney Hankel and Gracie Hauf during a recent ceremony. Hankel received $403.98 and Hauf got $150, with funds coming from a scholarship endowment (established in 2018) that honors Brooke’s legacy in school and community life. Minot Daily News

- ➤ Minot Police Department will host its 2025 impound auction on Saturday, May 10 at the City of Minot Impound Lot, 1025 31st St. SE; Seifert Auction Service will run the event with gates opening at 9 a.m. and bidding starting at 10 a.m.—buyers must remove purchased items within two hours, and a valid state ID is required for firearm transactions processed off-site. - ➤ The city accepted a proposal from Pathfinder Services of North Dakota to manage Broadway Circle, which includes a family homeless shelter, apartment complex and commercial space. The nonprofit will operate the facility through a 20-year lease-to-own deal at $5,000 a month—drawing on over 38 years of shelter management experience. KFYR-TV

- ➤ Minot High girls soccer won a 5-1 game over Minot North (the team overcame challenges after losing three all-state players) on April 26 where head coach Matt Pfau reached 200 career wins. The Majettes hold a six-point lead in the WDA with five games remaining (Pfau has coached the team for more than 20 years) and will face St. Mary’s this Saturday. KFYR-TV
