- ➤ Minot Chamber Chorale will celebrate Scandinavian heritage in Minot with its event 'Norse Memories' and plans to share more details on timing and location soon. KFYR-TV
- ➤ David Barclay, a puppeteer who worked with Frank Oz’s team on the Yoda puppet in The Empire Strikes Back, is at iMagicon today in Minot—he will show a replica of the original Yoda at Athena Hall and welcomes fans to learn about his film career. - ➤ Students and staff from Turtle Mountain Community High School shared ancient Ojibwe stories with Minot schools during a cultural event at the MSU Dome on Friday. - ➤ On Friday, Governor Kelly Armstrong signed the 'Bell to Bell' law that requires all kindergarten through 12th-grade public schools to enforce a phone-free program before the start of the new school year in 2026 — some schools like Simle Middle School already use similar policies and the law allows flexibility for emergencies and IEP exemptions. - ➤ Today, the City of Minot began the nearly $20 million Puppy Dog Coulee project in Dakota Square—replacing nearly 1,600 feet of failing storm sewers with new box culverts around Dakota Square Mall. Crews will keep roadways open near 10th Street and 24th Avenue Southwest—completing substantial work by July 31st, 2026 and finishing all phases by October 2nd, 2026. Minot Daily News
