- ➤ Minot best friends Daryl Vasichek, 80, and Duane Brekke, 87, who served our country in different eras, are set to ride the Western ND Honor Flight to Washington to honor veterans. They will leave from Minot International Airport Sunday at 6 a.m.—and the public is invited to greet them when they return Monday at 7 p.m. KFYR-TV

- ➤ Airmen from the 5th Bomb Wing and the 2nd Bomb Wing participated in Exercise Prairie Vigilance 25-1 at Minot Air Force Base on April 11 and April 12 to sharpen their skills in handling strategic assets. Col. Jesse Lamarand said the training improved readiness and confirmed the forces’ ability to respond to potential threats — it was a routine mission designed to bolster national deterrence.
