- ➤ Old National Bancorp launched its Choose Your Charity campaign to let local residents vote for their favorite nonprofit in Minot and surrounding communities until Apr. 25. Winning nonprofits in each of the 96 areas will receive $2,500 + the overall top vote-getter will earn an extra $25,000. Minot Daily News
ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ Rainbow Energy Center plans to diversify its energy mix by adding a natural gas pipeline expected online by 2029 that will connect its facility between Washburn and Underwood. The company is exploring partnerships to share construction costs as it looks to expand its power generation and data center capacity. Minot Daily News
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Aven Beach, 9, won the K-3 division at the Scholastic State Chess Tournament in Bismarck on March 28 and qualifies for nationals in Grand Rapids in August (after training online and at the local library chess club). Minot Daily News
- ➤ North Dakota State University Extension Parent and 4-H Educators host 'The Good, The Bad and The Bots' webinar series on discussing artificial intelligence. - ➤ Minot Literacy will host a book and bake sale at the Adult Learning Center from Thursday, Apr 23 through Saturday, Apr 25. - ➤ City crews responded Tuesday to two water breaks in the northwest area that impacted 18 homes; one break on 16th Street NW near Oak Park closed the road between 2nd Avenue NW and West Central Avenue + detours are in place for drivers. KFYR-TV
