Be-the-cause-of-art will host an art expo fundraiser on Monday, April 14 at The Depot and Baggage Claim downtown to aid people with Parkinson’s and mental health issues, with doors opening at 6 p.m. The event features local art for sale, music by Minot saxophonist Erik Anderson, hor d'oeuvres, games and prizes—proceeds will benefit W(Evolve) and the free Sparkle Art program led by founder Holly Jacobs.
Minot State University Native American Center and Club is hosting its 35th annual Spring Honor Dance and Powwow celebration from Friday, April 25 to Saturday, April 26 at the Minot State Dome.
A Native cultural program will run Friday from noon to 2 p.m. and a Family STEAM Day event will take place Saturday from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the Plum River site — admission is free with vendors present.
Trinity Health is expanding its emergency response fleet with a long-awaited new ambulance arriving in two months and a recent purchase from Killdeer boosting the total to seven—its largest fleet in years.
The team uses a refurbished ambulance and a transport van and will soon hire a paramedic and an EMT—finalizing its fully staffed response unit.
