  • The Roosevelt Park Pool and pickleball courts will open for summer use on June 5 after a flood mitigation project closed them last season + a new filtration system will be tested soon as park restoration for the remaining green space is set to finish this fall.  Minot Daily News
  • The Minot Lions Club will mark its 100th anniversary tomorrow by celebrating a storied past and a playful tradition — including a parachute stunt prank that sparked community laughter. The event honors decades of service and fun in our local community.  Minot Daily News

  • Xcel Energy said North Dakota customers will start seeing a monthly bill credit of $2.05 today for 12 months, totaling $58 million in refunds from federal nuclear tax credits.  Minot Daily News

  • Minot State University hosts the 33rd Northern Plains Conference on Early British Literature from April 9 to 11 at Hartnett Hall Collaboration Space and Northwest Arts Center. The conference features a medieval music evening on April 9 and a keynote dinner with Heather R. Darsie on April 10 (tickets online).  Minot Daily News
  • Austin Kutis of Minot Air Force Base was elected to membership in the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi at University of Maryland Global Campus, joining (about 20,000) top academic members chosen by invitation each year.  Minot Daily News
  • North Dakota Farmers Union will host its 92nd season of youth summer camps for kids finishing grades 3-6 and 7-12 from June to August on the shores of Lake Tschida and Jamestown Reservoir.   • NDSU Extension issued guidelines for the upcoming forage season. The news release (authored by experts Miranda Meehan and Kevin Sedivec) advises producers to adjust fall 2025 grazing to protect 2026 forage production amid uncertain weather conditions.  Minot Daily News

  • NDSU Extension specialist Julie Garden-Robinson (a local food expert) explains how a 12 oz cup of coffee may offer benefits and cause side effects while also providing a recipe for cranberry oatmeal bars as a midmorning boost so locals can balance their caffeine intake.  Minot Daily News

  • Minot High Majettes kicked off their 2026 season yesterday with a doubleheader against Grand Forks Central at the MSU Bubble.
