- ➤ The missing man table honoring Vietnam veterans is again on display at Pizza Ranch in Minot as part of the annual Minot Wreaths Across America program celebrating the Vietnam War's 50th anniversary. Visitors can hang a gold snowflake and dog tag on the donation tree with each $17 gift—local veteran Richard Reuer said the display is a thank you to those who served. Minot Daily News

- ➤ On Monday at 7:50 a.m., a 14-year-old crossing outside a designated crosswalk on 11th Avenue Southwest between Jim Hill Middle School and First District Health Unit was struck by an eastbound pickup truck—officials say his injuries are not life threatening and that the investigation is ongoing. - ➤ Minot high school counselors report more students are choosing trade programs as they explore career paths beyond college. At Minot North, students can enroll in 14 career and technical education programs + paid apprenticeship opportunities that help them get job-ready. KFYR-TV
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ On Monday the City of Minot Committee on Childcare met with City Assessor Ryan Kamrowski to urge the council to pass a resolution that would grant a property tax exemption for for-profit childcare centers—if the council does not act, the tax will be added to December bills. The committee, one member short of a quorum, said the exemption would give centers a way to reduce costs before they need to apply annually by Feb. 1. Minot Daily News
- ➤ ND law enforcement will add extra patrols in April to stop drivers from using phones — after Gov. Armstrong said the month is for distracted driving awareness as part of the national 'Put the Phone Away or Pay' campaign. Officers tell drivers to keep their eyes on the road — to help stop texting while driving. Minot Daily News
- ➤ Minot City Council will review the internal investigation findings into Mayor Tom Ross at a special meeting held today at 4 p.m. at City Hall—this follows a complaint filed on Jan 28 and the investigation records are currently exempt from public release under state law. KFYR-TV
- ➤ NDDOT engineers met in Max yesterday to show four plans to fix the dangerous intersection at U.S. Highway 83—N.D. Highway 23. People at the meeting favored building a full interchange even though it may cost $40 million and take at least 10 years, and the state is accepting written comments until April 15. Minot Daily News

- ➤ At Minot Air Force Base, the 5th Medical Group holds a two-hour training session every Wednesday morning from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. to practice essential medical and operational skills for airmen and their families. Officials report that since the training began in January, regular practice has improved readiness+emergency services remain available during training+and the approach cuts the need for full-day closures.
