- ➤ At its 2026 Annual Meeting on March 23, the Minot Area Chamber EDC honored community leaders by awarding QDOBA and Jersey Mike’s for military support, Val’s Cyclery for small business contributions, Jessica Ackerman for leadership, and the Union Silos Public Art Project for community impact — a celebration of local dedication. - ➤ Minot International Airport saw 12,452 boardings in February (a drop of about 10%) which may be due to flight delays and a winter storm. The state's other commercial airports posted stable numbers, as the North Dakota Aeronautics Commission said last week. Minot Daily News

- ➤ Eighth grader Chilaka Ugobi from Our Redeemer's Christian School repeated as state spelling bee champion Monday by spelling 'eviscerate' in round 14; he will represent the state at the Scripps National Spelling Bee in May. KFYR-TV
- ➤ On March 7, Ward County 4-H Livestock Judging teams ended their season at Watford City’s McKenzie County Ag Expo Building with 31 teams and 149 youth competing in beef, goat, sheep, and swine classes — the senior team included participants from Max, Minot, and Towner. Minot Daily News
- ➤ NDSU Extension will host a parenting webinar titled 'Rethinking challenging behaviors with the brain in mind' on Thursday, April 2 at noon online. - ➤ State School Superintendent Levi Bachmeier is urging North Dakotans to apply for two Board of Higher Education vacancies by 5 p.m. Friday, May 22 (applications require a one-page form and resume) as one seat held by nominee Kevin Black will start a four-year term on July 1 pending Senate confirmation. - ➤ U.S. Air Force Maj. Gen. Stacy Jo Huser emphasized the importance of strong relationships during her keynote address at Minot Area Chamber EDC's annual meeting on Monday, Mar. 23, recalling her role overseeing over 12,000 airmen and urging community support for military personnel + cultivating lasting ties in all programs.
