- ➤ The state called its 18th witness — Kristina Holler, friend of Nichole Rice — in the trial against Nichole Rice, and the hearing continues with more testimony expected. KFYR-TV
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Six cadets (ages 12-18) from the Minot Civil Air Patrol competed at a state contest in Fargo and placed second, earning a spot to represent North Dakota at the North Central Region competition in Kansas in May. The organization will host an open house at AV Flight on March 25 to offer a look at its emergency response and aviation training. KFYR-TV
- ➤ Minot State University’s Criminal Justice Club will host a free speaker event with HSI—agent John Armstrong at 7 p.m. on Tuesday in Ann Nicole Nelson Hall. Armstrong will share his journey from Army service to combating transnational crime such as human trafficking, drug smuggling and cybercrime while offering POST Continuing Education Units for law enforcement professionals. - ➤ After weeks of intensive training across Europe, Africa and the Middle East, four U.S. Air Force B-52H bombers and crews returned to Minot Air Force Base on Monday from a Bomber Task Force 25-2 deployment—operating from RAF Fairford—after completing 13 operational missions with international allies.
