- ➤ Ice bumper cars at Citizens Alley are in their final weeks as weather shifts — over 2,000 rides given since Dec. 1 and spots open this weekend as riders aged 6 and older enjoy 12-minute spins on battery-powered cars, although bookings are recommended as operations may continue a little longer. - ➤ NDSU Extension will host its annual Spring Fever Garden Forums online and at county watch parties from March 23 to April 13 (6:30-8:30 p.m.), covering topics like annual flowers, lawn fertilization, and soil testing for gardeners of all skill levels. Minot Daily News

- ➤ Minot’s Mouse River Enhanced Flood Protection project is progressing with three active phases+ MI-5 is nearly complete, MI-6 is underway near Third Street East, and MI-7 is ahead of schedule in Roosevelt Park Zoo. Construction is set to continue with additional work this spring and potential map revisions by 2033. Minot Daily News

- ➤ Minot surgeons at Dakota Surgical Center are launching an initiative to reduce prescribed opioid pills by offering patients an alternative toolkit including IV hydration, gum, vibrating patches + a disposal kit as part of the nationwide Billion Pledge Program. KFYR-TV
- ➤ INSPIRITUS Community Health Foundation and the ND Chapter of American Foundation for Suicide Prevention host a free workshop on May 7 called Equipping Faith Communities to Minister to those Impacted by Suicide, offering training, meals, and continuing education credits for pastors, ministers, and counselors (register with code Inspiritus).
