- ➤ Judge Richard Hagar approved Court TV’s request and an expanded order for local news outlets to record the Nichole Rice murder trial starting next week in Grand Forks — the decision comes after concerns about attorney-client privacy and requires coordination with the clerk. Rice is charged with murder for the 2007 killing of her roommate in a northwest Minot apartment. KFYR-TV

- ➤ Air and Space Force recruitment in North Dakota is showing a steady increase as more than 50 individuals have enlisted this year—Technical Sergeant Christopher Hudley reported that 12 recruits in Minot joined since October and he plans to enlist five more by fall.
