- ➤ On February 20 the Magic City Discovery Center found a burst pipe had caused water damage—forcing it to close and delay events until it reopened on March 3. - ➤ The U.S. Air Force Academy Band’s Stellar Brass will perform a free concert at Ann Nicole Nelson Hall at Minot State on Wednesday, March 19 at 7:30 p.m. — the event will include a mix of patriotic, classical, and jazz music while senior leaders from the 5th Bomb Wing and the 91st Missile Wing speak about their service. EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ The Minot AFB School Liaison Office is counting military-connected high school graduates as it plans to honor them with purple cords for graduation + their senior banquet. - ➤ Representatives from Minot and Grand Forks met on March 6, 2025 at the legislative building where Minot Air Force Base commanders shared details on mission readiness and the base’s economic impact. Leaders stressed that modernization of the nuclear triad remains a priority—next steps include addressing related legislative measures. Northern Sentry
- ➤ Minot Air Force Base reversed a policy that did not allow Veteran Health Identification Card holders to sponsor their caregivers—now these holders may sponsor adults 18 or older who check their identity at the visitor center on their first visit.
