The North Dakota University System reported that college enrollment increased nearly two percent for the spring semester based on census data from its 11 state institutions, following a record-high fall.

The data shows continued local support for higher education.

North Dakota’s spring light goose conservation order is in effect since Feb.

21 and runs through May 10. Local hunters must have a valid license (2025-26 or 2026-27 combination or small game, general game, and habitat license) plus an electronic waterfowl restoration stamp, while youth under 16 need only the general game and habitat license.

Minot United won the WDA Championship Saturday — a 2–0 victory over Legacy — and will take the top seed into next week’s state tournament in Fargo.

Jamestown and the Patriots also secured their places in the upcoming tournament.
