COMMUNITY NEWS
- ➤ After three years of collaboration, Broadway Circle Family Shelter is now open on South Broadway in Minot. Operated by Pathfinder Services, the low-income facility offers a free temporary stay with six shelter units (two to three bedrooms each) and a 17-unit apartment complex for families. KFYR-TV
- ➤ Give 360 announced it awarded $39,185 to nine local organizations to fund programs like monthly soup kitchen meals by The Welcome Table (supporting access to food) and community arts projects. The 2025 grants boost local initiatives through pooled community giving. Minot Daily News
- ➤ CASO bought a house in Minot to serve foster kids with a clothing closet, visitation and sensory rooms, plus an apartment for temporary housing (remodeled with volunteer help). The closet will open by end February and the full center will welcome families by end May. Minot Daily News

- ➤ Seventh grade Faith Formation students, supported by older peers and adults, will perform Living Stations of the Cross at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church on March 25 and March 29 at 7 p.m. The free event includes a will offering and refreshments served in the dining room following the performance. - ➤ The North Dakota State Fair announced pop singer Alex Warren will perform at the Grandstand in Minot on Friday, July 17. His single-ticket show is part of a six-night lineup with tickets available this spring & promising a vibrant fair experience. Minot Daily News

- ➤ County commissioners approved leasing a Ward County Highway Department building for a temporary dog pound starting Feb. 28 for up to six months, where the police will shelter 10 dogs while the city seeks a new permanent pound after its Souris Valley contract ended. Minot Daily News

- ➤ Minot residents may feel a boost on sunnier winter days—mental health experts recommend exercise, Vitamin D, and SAD lamps to ease seasonal fatigue. The advice comes as daylight increases from nine hours in December to nearly ten by mid-February. KFYR-TV
