  • Minot Vets for Vets have organized a free 10 to 12-week Operation Civilian Readiness workshop aimed at helping veterans transition from military to civilian life — the program will feature community professionals covering topics from finances to family reconnection, with no start date set as recruitment continues.  KFYR-TV

CULTURE NEWS

  • Warren Pietsch, a Minot pilot and aviation mentor, will be inducted as the 51st member of the North Dakota Aviation Hall of Fame during the ND Aeronautics Fly-ND Conference at the Clarion Hotel on March 10.   • USDA data from the latest (WASDE) report shows that Chinese buyers have not returned to purchase significant amounts of locally grown soybeans, which worries North Dakota farmers about future job and business impacts.   • North Dakota Senator John Hoeven sponsored a bill moving to the Senate that requires manufacturers to test infant formula after a 2022 incident at a Michigan plant led to recalls—aiming to boost FDA oversight and improve product safety.
