Md Jakaria joined the Ackerman-Estvold office in Minot today as a water resource engineer, tasked with design + hydrology modeling to serve clients across North Dakota and nearby areas.
He brings extensive experience from the petroleum sector and holds advanced degrees in geology, hydrology, and petroleum engineering.
🎓 Education
Aspire Credit Union donated over $1,700 in 2025 to the Minot Public School Foundation to supply winter gear such as gloves + hats, coats and snow bibs for students.
The foundation will distribute items throughout the season to keep kids warm.
🏛️ Government
Records show that in 1960 local officials and military personnel considered renaming the base to honor local heroes but decided to keep Minot Air Force Base for its community identity & historic value.
The decision maintained strong ties between the military and the city.
🏥 Health
Trinity Health relocated 12 patients from St. Joseph’s Hospital on Saturday, Jan.
3, after a boiler issue caused a liquid leak and unreliable heating. Patients were transferred to Trinity Health Hospital on the Healthcare Campus (authorities responded promptly to the cleanup) and visitors should call 418-8000 before visiting.
