The Disabled American Veterans Chapter 4 has scheduled a month of veteran events in Minot—featuring a flag folding session at MSU on Jan.
6, veteran coffee with Commander Frank Senn on Jan. 7, plus fellowship and meal gatherings later this month.
Minot Park is hosting Frozen Fun Day at Polaris Park on Jan.
24 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The free event offers outdoor fun with snow painting + frozen bubbles + free ski and ice skate rentals.
🎭 Culture
North Dakota will honor the nation’s 250th birthday on July 4 with local events including the state parade and state fair in Minot.
The ND250 Commission (guiding the festivities) plans activities that celebrate our state's role in American history.
The former downtown grain elevator now displays the giant Union Silos mural by Australian artist Guido van Helten, completed at the end of September to celebrate local resilience and heritage.
The commissioning group plans to host an art show featuring community photos and a book next year (additional details pending).

Minot received the 2025 Great American Defense Community Award at a July 18 ceremony at the North Dakota State Fair where a B-52 bomber flew over, and a town hall on Aug.
26 allowed residents to ask questions about the Sentinel project to replace the aging Minuteman III missiles.
